Sasha – REFRACTED:Live – The Roundhouse

O.M.G. about sums up what it was like to shoot Sasha’a Refracted gig at the Roundhouse in London.
Firstly the venue was out of this world, a photographer’s dream! Amazing lighting, huge crowd but still felt intimate, huge stage and the acoustics in a building like that is next level. I was really honoured to be the only person shooting these shows but also felt a bit of pressure to capture what was a truly spectacular night in all of its glory – but i’m happy with the results.
Bringing the ‘live’ element back into this kind of show gives it an undeniably special vibe and you can see that on everyone’s faces that has come to enjoy it, there’s a glimmer of awe in their eyes as they watch and listen to this amalgamation of futuristic music with traditional instruments that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
This gig was quite a bit more up tempo than the gig at the Barbican which meant the crowd really went for it and enjoyed every bloody second, as did I! I always feel very privileged to document live events, securing a moment in time that so many will remember for years to come.
Here are the first release of images, with many more coming in the upcoming weeks!
